1. “After the Rains”

“Niki & the Letters” – Part 2
In the poetic series of ‘Nil’ & ‘Niki’,
we have seen that a friendship blossoms between ‘Nil’ & ‘Niki’,
& Niki leaves for her village.

Now, let us see what happens next…

       This time, Niki’s college was starting late, while Nil’s college had already begun.
Examinations were drawing near, & amid the rush and busyness, even after Niki returned, it was not possible for him to find time to meet her…

1. “After the Rains”

Before we knew it, the holidays flew away,
as if a whole lifetime had passed in a day.

This time,
Niki’s college began after the rain,
but meeting Nil now was not easy again.

In the second half
the story took a new side,
Life slowly turned, changing its stride.

In a crowded world, so busy and wide,
A small, sweet story was born inside.

Running all day
their breaths grew tight,
Reaching their rooms
sleep came each night.

In the middle of night
memories would rise,
Talking on calls, voices closed their eyes.

Calls and messages slept
then woke up too,
After midnight, two stars softly grew.

Day – night, morning & evening
felt new like a rainbow
each word in rain found its hue…🌈
