Best Friend
Recently, my friend asked me a question: “Who is your best friend?”
I don’t know why suddenly a question popped into my friend’s mind, it was really unexpected. Of course, a best friend can ask anything at any time. But at this moment, a sudden and unexpected question fell on my ears…
Unknowingly my mind whispered, ” the answer is – ‘You’ “
On the other hand the mind said, ” It is not necessary that the person you consider your best friend should also consider you the same.”
&
I gave a diplomatic answer… not because I was unsure, but because I was reflecting deeply in that moment.
The answer I gave was also relevant and correct, ” my pen that can read and understand whatever comes to mind…the blog that shows it to me and nature where I can spend some time with myself.… “
We can do all this with our best friend…
To me, a best friend is not defined by how long we’ve known each other or how often we meet.
A best friend is someone to whom we feel deeply connected… someone we can open our heart to without hesitation. It’s the person with whom we can share our raw emotions, both our comfort and discomfort, our excitement and our fears.
With a best friend, conversations never really end. There’s always something to share, some memories to revisit, or some silly story to laugh about. They are the ones we miss during the happiest moments and the ones we need during the toughest ones.
In every life, there is a space for such a special friend… the closest companion of the soul. Without this person, life feels like an empty cup… lacking the warmth, joy, and flavor that true friendship brings.
The word ” best ” in the phrase .. ‘best friend’ …. the word itself feels like a comparison, and friendship isn’t something that should be measured like that.
But deep down, I do feel that I have a special friend…. someone who may not carry a title, but holds a unique place in my heart.
This friend isn’t just a companion to pass the time with. A friend is much more than that, the one who gives me the most precious, pure, and meaningful feelings…. the kind that can lift me when I feel low, or bring a smile UNKNOWINGLY when life feels mechanical and dull.
In the middle of routine and responsibilities, friends brings moments of warmth, laughter, and peace… moments that remind me I’m human, not just a role-playing robot. & sometimes, even a single moment like that is enough to keep going.
That’s why I don’t look for “the best.”
I’m just grateful for the one who has become the best for me…
or… more than the best.
